What the 6 spam filtering levels mean.

Applicable to

All SyncMyOffice 2010 / 2013 / 2016 hosted Exchange accounts.

Prerequisite

  • a SyncMyOffice Exchange account

How to

Every incoming email is filtered and given a score, which determines where it’s sent (i.e. Inbox, Junk Folder)

We have 2 engines with 6 levels:

  • Engine 1 is the default engine that everyone has already been using
  • Engine 2 is a new engine.

You are able to choose either: only engine 1, only engine 2 or use both engines.

Deliver all spam to the Inbox folder.

Deliver confirmed spam emails to the Junk folder.

Deliver confirmed and bulk spam emails to the Junk folder.

Deliver confirmed, bulk and suspicious spam emails to the Junk folder.

Block confirmed spam emails; deliver suspicious bulk and suspicious spam emails to the Junk folder.

Block confirmed and bulk spam emails; deliver suspicious spam emails to the Junk folder.

Reject all kind of spam.

Suspicious: when system identifies unsolicitedemail distribution from a a particular sender, it marks messages as suspicious.

Bulk: dubious mass mailing and spam messages.

Confirmed: spam messages containing known and verified spam patterns. Confirmed spam can be safely blocked.
