Synopsis

This guide will show you what the POP settings are for Exchange 2013 so you can properly connect to your servers.

Applicable to

All SyncMyMail 2013 hosted Exchange accounts.

Prerequisite

  • You must have a SyncMyMail 2013 hosted Exchange account.
  • You must have set your Domain Type to Authoritative. Any account configured in POP with an External Relay Domain Type will not be able to send out emails. This limit was put into place to combat certain kinds of abuse

How to

POP3 Server: You can find your POP server in your Control Panel in the User Information section:

Ex13_Servers_webmail

  • Username:   your email address
  • Password:   your password
  • Port:   995 (using SSL)

SMTP Server: You can find your SMTP server in your Control Panel in the User Information section:

Ex13_Servers_smtp

  • Username:   your email address
  • Password:   your password
  • Port:   587 (using TLS for Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 )

Require Authentication:   please enter Yes and Use same settings as your incoming mail server.
